It's been a while... SRY

Hey, readers. Sorry it's been a while. I have been busy and out of town a lot. I got back from Spring Break. John and I got engaged on the 27th of December with John. It was during my christmas break.

Here's the reader's digest version. My mom, dad and sister went out of town earlier that day to go to visit my mom's parents for christmas. I didn't go. I convinced them (somehow) to let me stay home because John was there and he had something planned that afternoon/evening. John and I went to J Alexanders in Nashville. We've been there before and LOVE it. They have great steaks! Anyway, after that we went to our favorite spot in Down Town, Love Circle. There's this hill on this street that you can get to the top of and see the whole skyline of Nashville. It's beautiful, especially at night. He had brought his video camera he had gotten from his dad at christmas. After a little while of being on there with him he started talking about how wonderful I am and all these romantic things and I started to cry. A whole bunch of people started to come up the hill after we had been there for a little while and we moved so he could see a good view when he proposed... And then he proposed, and I couldn't say anything so I nodded. haha. Then we started calling people... I spent about an hour on the phone calling people I wanted to know.

Now, we've been engaged for about 3 months, and I'm loving it. We haven't set a definate date yet, but we've gotten a general time period we want to get married. We both want me to finish school first, and we want to get married the summer after I graduate. I'm enjoying engagement, but it's making it hard because he's already graduated from college and is working now in Nashville, and I'm in school about 2 and a half hours away (I go to school where he and his brother both went... What a coincidence). I met John at my home congregation in Nashville through his brother (who I was crushing on at the time). That was Christmas break about a year ago. The, we had our first date the night before I turned 20. Yea, I know. What good timing, right?!?!

Anyway.... Spring break was this past week. We tried to hook John's brother, James, up with our friend, Katlyn. But he didn't show up because he was gonna break up with his girlfriend. So, we'll have to try to do that later. That's ok. This past weekend, we celebrated his birthday, his best friend's birthday (Mike is his name) and this other guy's birthday (Patrick) here close to school. I had a BLAST... It was awesome. I can't wait to do this again. This coming weekend, John and I are going to his dad's house. There's a reason for it, but it's kind of a surprise. So once I know something else for sure, I'll be sure and write about it. I can't wait. I hope that this works out. I'll try to post some things more regularly now that I'm back and I have a computer in front of me.

So I'm home now. I'm going with John, my boyfriend, to his dad's house this weekend. We're leaving tomorrow. I'm so excited! I haven't been out to Mississippi since Memorial Day. We went to visit and to go to his twin cousins graduation. It was fun... Well I take that back since they've been in school, I'm pretty sure... I can't remember .... lol that's the point.... Anyway... His dad's family lives in Ripley, Mississippi! It's an awesome place! I think that this is gonna be like their Christmas or something.... Just thought I would touch base with you readers out there. I haven't written anything since I have been home on christmas break...

This weekend was great! I spent the weekend with my friend Jackie. She goes to school with me and is dating my boyfriend's brother. We went to Wal-Mart (the best place for a nearly poor college student on a budget) three times this weekend. It was GREAT! We had lots of fun. She taught me how to crochet! It was cool! I really like it. We also talked about different things, and it was pretty cool!

This week at school is finals week... I get done on Tuesday and I'm SO EXCITED. I get to go home on Wednesday. I can't wait to go home. I've missed my boyfriend. He's my everything! I love him!!! I can't wait to be with him again. He's fantastic. We're supposed to be going sometime during my xmas break to see the lights at the Opryland Hotel. I can't wait!!!!

Today was pretty relaxing. I had only one class, and it was at 2:30 this afternoon. So I attempted sleeping in, but got up at about 9:30 or so. The night before, I didn't sleep well. I was in and out of sleep all night, and was up for an hour because my room mate's grandmother died. I sat up a few minutes with her, and then gave her some alone time. I tried to go to bed, but I was too hot. When you're hot natured, and your hot when you try to go to sleep, it doesn't work... haha But neway.... About today.... I had to write my own obituary for my 2:30 class (yea... it was an assignment for my basic reporting class... depressing, huh?) Anyway... I just chilled today and what not.. It was pretty relaxing. My boyfriend, this summer, got me on a Sims2 fix. He bought me the Sims2 Double Deluxe game for a moving back in present. I played that a lot today... I love it. I can't wait until Sims3 comes out next year! It's already on my christmas list for next year. I know.. PLANNING AHEAD!! But neway.. Just had to get that out of my sistem!

My First Post

So, I'm a junior at Freed-Hardeman. I have enjoyed my time so far here. I'm a Public Relations major, with a minor in Bible. I love what I'm studying. I never thought I'd find something that I would really REALLY enjoy that much until I got into PR. I owe some of that to my friend, Andrew! See... what had happened was I majored in PR before I really understood what it was. Andrew one sunday explained it to me at church. He majored in PR and had a minor in Bible too, but he went and graduated from Harding. After I started going to these classes, I fell in love! So, thanks Andrew!!! I am blessed to be in something that I love.



I also blessed to be in a relationship with a GREAT guy. His name is John. He's so fantastic. He's wild, crazy, a home body, fun, great christian guy, a gentleman, and everything I've been looking for. To be honest, I haven't really dated around a lot, but who all I have dated, I have never felt like this. I really haven't dated anyone who shared the same things I shared, who liked and enjoyed the same things I do, and someone who treats me so well. I love it! He's the best thing I could have ever asked for!!!!
